“Up On the Rooftop” – Holiday Edition Pre-Sale Only Delivering Labor Day: This will be a special-order item only, non-stock item, don't miss out.

Built for long days, cold nights, and rooftops full of twinkling lights.
The Contra Raid “Up On the Rooftop” Edition is designed specifically for holiday lighting installers who spend their season climbing ladders, walking steep pitches, and working in cold, unpredictable weather. It delivers the traction you trust from Contra, with added comfort, protection, and ankle support for winter installs.
This high-top work sneaker features a plush insulated lining to keep feet warm during early mornings and late-night installs, paired with a waterproof upper that sheds snow, frost, and wet shingles. The extended collar and tight lacing system lock your foot in place, giving you added ankle stability when working at height.
Underfoot, the Raid is equipped with our high-traction Roof Runner pads, purpose-built for asphalt shingles, plywood, felt, and common residential roof surfaces. Our modular outsole system lets you replace pads as they wear—so traction stays consistent all season long, even through your busiest weeks.
Finished with a festive seasonal design, this limited holiday edition brings some fun to the job without sacrificing performance. Because being “up on the rooftop” should feel confident—not sketchy.

Men’s Sizing Chart
Contra shoes fit true to size (these are wide toe box shoes, so if on the fence, order a half size down). We recommend using a Brannock Device or visiting a local footwear store to measure your foot accurately.

How to Replace Outsole Pads
Contra shoes use a modular outsole system that lets you change traction pads based on the job.
- Start at the Heel: Grip the back of the pad and pull upward and forward toward the toe.
- Insert the Toe First: Line up the front of the new pad and insert it into the recessed toe area of the sole.
- Secure Front to Back: Press down along the length of the pad from front to back until it locks into place.
Tip: Always check that the pad is fully secure before use.
Fit & Wear Tips
-
True to Size – Our shoes are designed with a wide toe box for natural comfort and movement. If you’re between sizes, we recommend ordering a half size down for the best fit.
-
Break-In Period – The midsole and insole will naturally mold to your feet within 1–3 days of wear. A little initial snugness is completely normal—it means the shoes are adapting to you.
-
Lacing Matters – Always lace your shoes snugly to ensure your heel is fully seated in the molded heel cup. This not only improves comfort but also enhances stability and support.
-
Sock Choice – Pair with medium-weight or performance socks during the break-in period to help the shoe conform evenly to your foot shape.
-
Check Your Fit – You should have about a thumb’s width of space at the front of the shoe for toe movement, while your heel stays secure at the back.
-
Wear-in for Performance – For work or high-activity use, give the shoes a short wear-in period around the house or job site before relying on them for a full day.
-
Long-Term Comfort – The wide toe box design promotes natural toe splay, reducing pressure points and keeping your feet comfortable over long hours.
No returns will be accepted after December 1st.
